Our Faithful Bridegroom,
We rise this morning rejoicing because in You we have hope. Our hope is in Your committed love toward Your church, Your undying devotion to her and the fact that one day soon You will come again to gather the elect and usher them home. We long for the day to be eternally with You. We realize that we are being tested and tried for a greater day of conflict and we need Your strength to endure the approaching calamities. Help us to be steadfast in the small tribulations now, that we may stand in the greater ones to come. Give us primitive godliness to fight the good fight of faith...and display a good profession before many witnesses. Cleanse us from within is my prayer, in Christ's divine name, Amen.
