Pray with me!
Here is where I post daily prayers
We praise You for being He in Whom our hope is built. Your blood and righteousness alone cover us. We dare not trust anything in ourselves, but wholly lean on You, dear God. We thank You for Your unchanging grace even when darkness comes. We need not be afraid, for You are our stay. And when that beautiful trumpet shall sound, may we be found in You and faultless to stand before the throne is our prayer in Christ’s name. Amen.
All That Thrills My Soul
Who can cheer the heart like Jesus,
By His presence all divine?
True and tender, pure and precious,
Oh, how blest to call Him mine!
All that thrills my soul is Jesus;
He is more than life to me; (to me;)
And the fairest of ten thousand,
In my blessed Lord I see.
Love of Christ so freely given,
Grace of God beyond degree,
Mercy higher than the heaven,
Deeper than the deepest sea.
Every need His hand supplying,
Every good in Him I see;
On His strength divine relying,
He is All in All to me.
By the crystal flowing river
With the ransomed I will sing,
And forever and forever
Praise and glorify the King.
Our dear Father,
Thank You for the existence of another day in this vapor of life. Thank You for the purpose that each of our lives will fulfill today. Thank You that You chose to use us. May our lives today make a print in someone else’s. And may our will align perfectly with Yours is our prayer in Christ’s name. Amen.
Our Father of light in Whom there is no darkness,
We come to You this morning praising You for being our God. Our hearts are open before You, willing to allow You full access. We hide nothing. We give You permission to surgically remove any trace of sin or defilement. We plead for complete restoration to Your perfect image. O Lord, do what is needed. May You be our expectation is our prayer in Christ’s holy name. Amen.
My God, I Love Thee
My God, I love Thee; not because
I hope for Heav’n thereby,
Nor yet because who love Thee not
May eternally die.
Thou, O my Jesus, Thou didst me
Upon the cross embrace;
For me didst bear the nails and spear,
And manifold disgrace.
And griefs and torments numberless,
And sweat of agony;
E’en death itself; and all for man
Who was Thine enemy.
Then why, O blessèd Jesus Christ
Should I not love Thee well?
Not for the hope of winning Heaven,
Nor of escaping hell.
Not with the hope of gaining aught,
Nor seeking a reward,
But as Thyself hast lovèd me,
O everlasting Lord!
E’en so I love Thee, and will love,
And in Thy praise will sing,
Solely because Thou art my God,
Hymn by St. Francis Xavier
O Lord Jesus,
We praise You as Ruler of the unnumbered stars. By Your breath were the heavens made. By Your hands was Adam fashioned. By a virgin was Your body incubated. And by Your blood are we liberated. O Lord, You are our God. Earnestly we seek You. Our soul thirsts for You. Our flesh yearns for You, in a dry and weary land, where there is no water. Fill us we pray in Your name. Amen.
Thank You for another morning that we can come before You, praising Your holy name. Thank You for Your grace and the perfect blood that You shed on that wooden tree. Thank You for drinking the bitter cup and not shrinking from the death that gave us life. Thank You that You want to set us free from sin and eternal separation from You. We are thankful that Your lying in that sepulchre was not the end of the story. When Mary and the other women came to Your resting place that early Sunday morning, the angel proclaimed, “He is not here, for He is risen.” Now we can say with joy, “Our Savior lives.” Amen.
